Today I took my soon back to the pediatrician for his follow up with his eyes. When I picked him up from school, one of his teachers asked me if I knew about his eye. I'm like yeah his Dr. told me it was allergies and all that. So then she was like yeah cuz it looked a lil puffy today. I'm like yeah cuz he had a bad day yesterday. He was rubbing it last nite then he woke up this morning and they were puffy and watery again. And she was like that is probably cuz we took him outside and he was rolling around in the sand. What a goof!! I knew something had to happen cuz he was doing fine the last couple of days ad then they got irritated again.
So his Dr. looked him over again and was like is the right eye that's the most irritated and I'm like yeah. So he started to doubt himself cuz he didn't speacialize in eyes, which I liked his honesty. So he referred me to an eye specialist and made the appointment right there. Came back and the eye Dr. was only a block away. Cool. Plus my son was acting very good in that office. He let the Dr. look at him and everything, I was shocked!!!
So we get to the eye specialist and he just loses his mind. He sees the lil display of glasses and he had to just go over there and spin it. So I'm trying to chase after him and speak to the recieptionist at the same time. We had to wait what felt like a half hour. Normally a half hour is no big deal, but when you have my son who can't stay still to save his life, then it's a problem. I almost thought that they would kick us out!!!
So then they finally called us and the nurse (who was like a drill sgt. to me) looked at his eyes and tried to get him to do the letter test. He did it with his eyes not covered but when they covered one he didn't want to read it. So the Dr. looks at his eyes with a blue light and then a yellow light. He says that because he has a cold it could of brought the virus out and made his eyes swollen. So I have to work on getting rid of his cold, but he's cool though.
